The annual 1916 Commemoration Mass and Wreath Laying Ceremony, will be offered in the Church of the Defence Forces at Arbour Hill on the 6th May. The morning of Commemoration is attended by Uachtarán na hÉireann, members of the Oireachtas, invited guests and relatives of those who took part in the 1916 Rising.

Western Front Association Lecture: “The Last General Absolution of the Munsters at the Rue du Bois” by Gerry White. This incident was later captured on canvas by the war illustrator Fortunino Matania. His painting, entitled 'The Last General Absolution of the Munsters at the Rue du Bois' first appeared as a print in the Sphere magazine and it is said that copies were displayed in many houses throughout Munster.
