- The availability of the service records for both soldiers and sailors, a review of the record types and the details contained therein.
- Tips and advice on how to research military and naval records.
- Examples of research results and how they might be used to further one’s own research.
- A look at the various medals that were issued.
- Recruitment and the posters that were in circulation at the time in order to encourage men to join up.
- How to present your research findings and backing up your research results.
- Finally, a list of Websites and data sources that are available to the family researcher.
- To round off a Q & A (Questions and Answers).
There will be available at the talk hard copies of the records referred to in the talk so that those attending can view the documents in detail.
